Innovative: the clamping unit

The clamping unit has numerous innovative design elements and is based on a 5-point toggle lever system. The toggle lever system is driven by a servo motor with gearing and reaches a top speed of over 1.5 m/s. The result is a fast, highly-dynamic process sequence with extremely short dry cycle times.

5-point toggle lever

The 5-point toggle lever system is wholly designed to meet the rotary drive system requirements of an all-electric machine. The servo motor powered toggle lever system achieves maximum movement speeds and contributes considerably to the extremely short dry cycle times.

Closed-loop lubrication system

Lubrication of the encapsulated toggle-lever system friction bearing is closed-loop, resulting in a totally oil-free mold compartment. Netstal has patented the closed-loop lubrication assembly.

Linear guides

The moving mold platen is supported exclusively on precision, low-wear, linear guides, which ensure a high degree of repeatability in the long-term. The tie-bars have no guide function and merely act as tension bars.
