The clamping unit = precision processes.

The EVOS clamping unit is based on an optimised 5-point toggle lever system. The inclined toggle lever system, which is located centrally in the mold mounting space, reduces bending of the moving mold platen and enables higher speeds thanks to minimal mass.

An extremely short construction design is achieved through inward-facing installation of the clamping unit cylinder in the area of the toggle lever system.

Optimal movement and highly precise starting positions are achieved through the digital control of clamping unit movements.

1. Centrically inclined 5-point toggle lever system

The new, centrically inclined installation of the toggle lever system provides the optimal direction of force into the centre of the mold mounting space.

2. Closed-loop lubrication system

The closed-loop lubrication system – which has been registered for patent by Netstal - services the sealed bearings in the toggle lever system while ensuring the mold area remains free of lubricant.

3. Extended tie-bar distance

The generous opening stroke and large tie-bar distance enables the straightforward mounting of molds with greater numbers of cavities.
Thanks to a tie-bar extension feature, the mounting of oversized molds is signifi cantly simplified.

4. Inward-facing closing cylinder

The closing cylinder is now situated on the inside of the toggle lever system. Due to the space saved at the front of the machine, the installation footprint is greatly reduced, which means greater effi ciency on a smaller area.

5. Flexible ejector

Straightforward demolding of parts: two cylinders are regulated by highly dynamic proportional valves, which are available in three different sizes depending on the required ejection force. Using the optional booster version, even injected parts that are firmly shrunk onto the cavity are easily demolded.
