The injection unit: powerful performance

EVOS provides the ultimate in flexibility: through selectable injection unit sizes, the injection process can be optimally tailored to the customer’s requirements. The hybrid drive of the injection unit, with its powerful valves and servo-electric metering drive, provides excellent injection performance at a low level of energy consumption.

1. Servo-electric screw drive

The metering axis is available in two different performance categories and is
powered by a servo-drive and spur wheel gearing. A “master” option is available for the drive unit, which, in addition to the already high level of standard performance, provides an increased torque level at a higher rpm rate.

2. Powerful injection performance

The injection axis is hydraulically driven by highly dynamic valves, in turn ensuring extremely high levels of acceleration and precise control during the injection and holding pressure process. New to the system is the availability of four different screw diameters for each injection unit size, enabling an optimal screw layout for the respective application.

3. Actively driven nozzle shutter

The bi-directional, pneumatic drive of the nozzle shutter via a rod guarantees optimised process management.
